Dear Beloved daughter,
I love you unconditionally, without fail, there is nothing that you can do to remove that love from me for that love is not mine but that of Christ.
I know you start out a perfection of God’s making and that you will stumble along the way, at first I will patch up your booboos with bandaids and many kisses.
Then, I will raise you with The Word as your guide and Truth as your way of life. My words will only act as indications of my actions to come.
I can’t promise I won’t yell at you or get angry but I can tell you, you will hear from my lips more than once “I’m sorry, Daddies make mistakes too, please forgive me”
No matter how much you run to me, with hugs and kisses and bat your pretty little eyes I will not falter from the Truth. You will tug and pull at my heartstrings and I will come to tears many times but I will show you over and over again “Me and my house choose to follow the Lord”
Then, I will lovingly teach you how you’re body is not just an earthly body for your pleasure but a righteous temple for God to dwell in.
1 Corinthians 6:17-20 New International Version (NIV)
17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.[a]
18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
It will be your choice, as is with free-will, how you treat your body, but that will not hinder me from making the Truth known.
Too much of a delicious pleasure can make you sick!
The ocean is beautiful but be careful of the undertow.
Emotions are fickle, be careful not to be swept away by a tornado.
Use your head and your heart.
Rushing to majestic peaks can lead to rocky paths, take time to pray.
My heart will cry out to help you avoid the later pit falls in life that I experienced but know that the mistakes are your own to make and will indelibly form the woman you are destined to be.
But regardless of this I will never stop fighting for you. I will never put my emotions above your safety. I will pray without ceasing for you even when you stubbornly refuse my counsel.
I will continue to warn you of impending dangers and catch your tears on my shoulder as you do not heed the signs.
There will be times we are at odds, that I must stand my ground but know this it will always be with your best interest in mind. For God has given me this gift and I must cherish and treasure every minute of it.
And when you push me away I will give your wide open spaces but as your foot turns toward me, I will be there, just as my Father is for me.
Just Another Sinner
Proverbs 9:7- tells us:
7 Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults;
whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse.
8 Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you;
rebuke the wise and they will love you.
9 Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still;
teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.
And I do not know which camp you are in, so I will send this out to the wise who are struggling with their faith
